Guided Onboarding
Guided onboarding is the setup wizard new organizations see after registration. It collects the minimum information needed to take a first booking, then writes that information into the same settings your team later edits from the dashboard.
This guide is for business owners and administrators setting up a new organization.
When onboarding appears
Section titled “When onboarding appears”After you create an account, organization, and subscription plan, Full Day opens the guided setup. Existing organizations that were already running before this wizard shipped are not asked to complete it.
If setup is incomplete and you have not skipped it, every admin page sends you back to onboarding except billing routes you need to keep the subscription active. Skip for now leaves the whole flow and opens the dashboard. After that, a Continue setup card stays on the dashboard until you finish.
There is no dismiss control on that card. If you skip, use Continue setup whenever you are ready to resume.
The six steps
Section titled “The six steps”Progress and service drafts are saved as you work. Service drafts become real services only when you select Continue.
- Business — Name, contact email, phone, and SMS sender name. These appear on confirmations and your booking page.
- Location — The first location and its timezone. Street address is optional.
- Hours — At least one open day. These hours become the basis for generated staff shifts.
- Staff — Either add yourself with I provide services myself, or invite specialists by email. You need at least one staff record to continue. Invited people receive an email and can finish joining later.
- Services — At least one service with a name, duration, and price. Draft rows are saved as you type, so Back, refresh, or Skip keeps what you entered. Continue turns those rows into real services.
- Booking — Choose per specialist (each specialist has their own slots) or one booking per time slot (the location takes a single booking at that time). You can also turn on abandonment reminders.
Continue stays disabled until the current step is valid. Skip does not skip a single step. It exits the wizard.
After you finish
Section titled “After you finish”Finish setup creates eight weeks of staff shifts, starting two days from today, from the hours you set. You then see a success card. Go to dashboard is the next click. Full Day does not redirect automatically.
From the dashboard you can open the Booking Portal and place a test booking. If something is still missing, the Continue setup card remains until you complete the wizard.
Plan selection
Section titled “Plan selection”Plan selection happens on the registration page, not inside this wizard. If you started from the pricing page with a plan already chosen, registration keeps that plan and still lets you pick another one.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Getting Started — How registration leads into this wizard.
- Locations & Organization Settings — Edit business details, locations, and hours after setup.
- Services, Specialists & Scheduling — Add more services, staff, and shifts.
- Booking Portal — Place the first customer booking.
