AI Assistants

AI assistants let your team use natural language with Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP-compatible app to look up clients and bookings, reschedule or cancel appointments, and manage shifts, without opening extra dashboards.

The assistant uses the same permissions as the person who signs in and approves the connection. A specialist cannot manage shifts. An admin can. Organization settings, API keys, and bank details are not available through this connection.

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → AI assistants, or the connections page linked from there, and copy the MCP server URL.
  2. In your assistant, add a custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and paste that URL (https://your-domain/mcp).
  3. Sign in to Full Day when the assistant opens the browser, then approve the connection.
  4. Ask in plain language. The assistant looks up live Full Day data and, when you confirm, can change bookings or shifts.

You can revoke a connection from the same Settings page.

Destructive changes (cancel, reschedule, update or cancel a shift) require a second confirmation step. The assistant previews the change first, then proceeds only when you confirm.

The assistant can read booking and payment history and write its own summary. There is no separate “generate summary” action.

The assistant can do the following, as long as your Full Day role allows it.

Identity

  • Confirm who you are, your organization, your role, and your permissions.

Catalog

  • List locations.
  • List specialists (name, active status, locations).
  • List active services (name and duration).

Clients

  • Search clients by name, email, or phone.
  • Open a client record with recent bookings and spend.
  • List every booking for a client.
  • List payments across a client’s bookings so you can summarize payment history.

Bookings

  • List bookings in a date range, optionally filtered by location or specialist.
  • Open one booking with client, specialist, and services.
  • List payments and remaining balance for one booking.
  • Reschedule a booking to a new date and start time (preview, then confirm). Past dates need permission to edit past bookings.
  • Cancel a booking, with an optional reason (preview, then confirm).

Shifts (admin)

  • List shifts in a time range, optionally filtered by specialist or location.
  • Create a specialist shift, including optional break times and notes.
  • Update a shift’s time, location, specialist, or notes (preview, then confirm).
  • Cancel a shift (preview, then confirm). Cancelled shifts are not permanently deleted.

The assistant cannot create new bookings, add or edit clients, or change organization settings, API keys, or bank details. It also cannot do work your role cannot do in the dashboard. For example, a specialist connection cannot create, update, or cancel shifts.

Replace the placeholders with real names and dates from your organization. Ask one thing at a time until you trust the connection, then combine steps.

  • Who am I in Full Day? What is my role and organization?
  • List our locations, specialists, and active services.
  • Find the client named [client].
  • Open that client and show their recent bookings and spend.
  • Show all bookings for that client.
  • Summarize that client’s payment history.
  • What bookings do we have today?
  • Show today’s bookings at [location].
  • Show today’s bookings for specialist [name].
  • Open the first booking from that list and show the client, specialist, and services.
  • What is still owed on that booking?
  • Who is working today?

Ask the assistant to preview first. Confirm only after you have checked the preview.

  • Reschedule [client]’s [time] booking to tomorrow at 14:00. Show me the change first, do not apply it yet.
  • Yes, apply that reschedule.
  • Cancel [client]’s [time] booking. Reason: client requested. Show me the change first.
  • Yes, cancel it.
  • Create a shift for [specialist] at [location] on [date] from 09:00 to 17:00, with a break from 12:00 to 13:00.
  • Move that shift to 10:00 to 18:00. Show me the change first.
  • Yes, apply the shift update.
  • Cancel that shift. Show me the change first.
  • Yes, cancel the shift.
  • Connect one assistant at a time (for example Claude, then ChatGPT), and revoke connections you no longer use.
  • Treat the assistant as a team member with your role: it can only do what you can do in Full Day.
  • Use a test booking or shift when you first try reschedule, cancel, or shift changes.
  • Name the client, location, specialist, and time in the prompt. Vague requests take extra lookups and are easier to apply to the wrong record.
